The Newsletter for Algonquin Hills Subdivision                            June 2018

ALGONQUIN ANNUAL PICNIC: Our annual summer picnic will be June 16. Algonquin Hills will supply a grill, burgers & hot dogs. Please bring your drinks and a dish to pass.

ROADS: The unincorporated roads will receive an always needed spring time road grading. We thank the township for their help. The Algonquin Hills Board makes the application for grading based on the paid memberships. Some of our roads need asphalt for repair. The Township will only supply recycled asphalt for the roads, homeowners are responsible for picking up the asphalt and filling pot holes themselves. If you want some recycled asphalt for the roads by your house please contact Tom at (847)658-0106 or AlgonquinHills@netscape.net.

The township has always very helpful to us. The state of Illinois changed their rules for funding cutting our benefits. Please contact us about road funding sharing requirements.

The township can help with the Algonquin Hills roads this year but we may not get any road work without matching funds from residents.   Any road work by residents should be logged. There is a form available on the Algonquin Hills website.

In the winter the unincorporated roads are plowed by your neighbors. It takes a commitment of equipment, gas  and time. Please help them out financially.

FIRES: Fires on the Algonquin Hills picnic lot are no longer allowed due to Village of Algonquin laws.

RIVERFRONT: Docks on Algonquin Hills property require $500 annual rental & certificate of insurance.

DUES: Annual dues of $40.00 are due the 1st of the year.

BOATS: You must be an AHIA member to purchase a boat launch key.  The fee for a key to the boat launch ramp is only $35 for the season. You may purchase one of these from our Harbor Mistress, Jaye Passage.

Her phone number is (708)476-6295 or email passage.jaye@tampabay.rr.com

MEETING PLACE: Summer meetings are held at the Algonquin Hills picnic lot, winter meetings and rain or cold summer meetings will held at River Bottom Ice Cream Company, at Main & Washington streets in downtown Algonquin. Residents are always welcome to attend.

ELECTIONS: Watch the website for the Algonquin Hills elections on Wednesday, October 26, 2018. Download your ballot on line. Please contact us if you would like to run. Your help and participation is always requested.

Mock Site

Again, this site does work.  However, it is a consideration, not the actual Algonquin Hills site.
